Accessibility

Built to be usable by everyone.

We want every visitor to be able to explore The Urban, whatever device or assistive technology they use.

The short version: we aim for this website to meet WCAG 2.1 at Level AA, and if anything gets in your way, call or text (979) 777-7135.

Our commitment

The Urban at College Station aims for this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We treat accessibility as part of quality, not an afterthought, and we keep checking as the site changes.

What we have done

  • Text and interface colors chosen to meet AA contrast ratios, with links and states that do not rely on colour alone
  • A “Skip to content” link, a logical heading structure and labelled navigation landmarks on every page
  • Full keyboard access with a clearly visible focus outline
  • Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images, with conceptual renderings identified as such; decorative artwork is hidden from screen readers
  • Form fields with visible labels, required fields marked, and error messages announced to assistive technology
  • Buttons and links sized for touch, at least 44 pixels where practical
  • Layouts that reflow on small screens and support text zoom
  • Motion kept subtle, and turned off when your device asks for reduced motion
  • Links to downloadable files say what they are, such as PDF

Known limitations

  • Some downloadable documents, including the sales brochure and HOA information sheet PDFs, may not be fully accessible. Our team is glad to talk you through their contents.
  • Floor plans and site plans are images. Their key details are described in the surrounding text, and our team can answer any question about them.
  • Content from third parties, such as maps and fonts, is outside our direct control.
